Description: Ashwaganda - Medicinal, frost-sensitive perennial. Dense bush with red berries, 3-5' tall. Native to India. Widely used as a strengthening male tonic in Ayurvedic medicine, AKA Indian Ginseng. The leaves, berries and stems are toxic (Nightshade). Root is harvested in the fall after first frost, then Dried and ground.
