Flax - Fiber

The outer fibers of the flax plant are used to make linen. If being grown for fiber the seeds should be planted close together in an open site with wind and sun exposure. Flax is a cool season, early maturing plant. When the plant starts to bloom hot, dry weather is needed for the threshing and drying of the fibers.
