Join Sow True Seed for our inaugural Garlic Fest – learn all you need to know about planting, caring, harvesting and storing your garlic.
We’ll have workshops starting on the hour every hour from 10am to 4pm on Saturday 27th September, drop by and grab some garlic wisdom.
We’ll also have garlic tasting with exciting samples that may include: garlic cookies, honey fermented garlic, garlic hummus, fresh roasted garlic, garlic bread and garlic fudge. Also take the blind taste test – can you tell the difference between hardneck and softneck garlic?
Throughout the day they’ll also be lessons and demonstrations on garlic braiding, making powdered garlic, quick peeling techniques, garlic and wild foods and garlic drinks with special guest Nan K Chase.
No Taste Like Home, our local foraging and wild food experts, will be along to show us how garlic is used in wild dishes. Taste samples on offer!
