Hardneck Garlic - Spanish Roja
**Garlic is a pre-order item and quantities are limited. Garlic will ship beginning of October.**
Spanish Roja garlic is one of the oldest, coolest old heirloom garlics you can still grow. Great for home gardeners, Spanish Roja is an early season garlic that is often ready a few weeks before other hardneck varieties, freeing up valuable growing space. Classic, rich flavor is a delight! Doesn't store as well in our experience, but is an excellent choice for preserving and pickling! Each bulb has about 8-12 cloves. Spanish Roja’s outer wrapper varies in color, from a rich cream to deep purple stripes. Its cloves are large with a brownish red color and are easy to peel. Approximately 8-12 cloves/ bulb. Approximately 65-85 garlic cloves/ pound.
