Named after its scented flowers which vaguely resemble a dragon's face. These 20" tall stately beauties come in a rainbow of colors and make an excellent choice for garden beds and cut flower bouquets. Deadhead frequently for prolonged flowering. Full sun. Annual.

Snapdragon is an annual or short-lived perennial (Zones 5-7) that prefers full sun and well-drained soil high in organic matter.
Snapdragons are moderately frost tolerant and do best in cool weather. Start seed indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost and transplant outdoors just before the last frost. Optimum soil temperature for germination is 60-70˚F. Seeds will sprout in 10-14 days. Deadhead to extend flowering period.
