Bush Bean - Royalty Purple Pod, ORGANIC

Phaseolus vulgaris

Fit for the monarchs among us! Lovely purple, slightly curved 5″ pods are tender and stringless, turning green when cooked. Germinates well in cold soil and is mosaic resistant.
Snap bush beans are quick and easy to grow, so go ahead and plant a few varieties! They mature faster than pole beans and require no trellising, a relief for some people. However they usually have 1-2 flushes of pods, so plant them in successions for a continuous harvest all season. For best texture and flavor harvest before the individual beans have fleshed out in the pods. Nutrients: dietary fiber, protein, vitamins A and C and riboflavin.

We purchased these seeds to grow this past summer. Wonderful!! The plants were hardy and tolerated extended periods without rain. The fruit was plentiful, I mean MORE than we would eat. The beans were tender and tasty, both raw and sautéed with garlic and oil (my favorite).
