'Heading' Brassicas

This collection of 'Heading' Brassicas refers to the food crops in the Brassica oleracea species which form a dense cluster of leaves (Brussels sprouts and cabbage) or a dense cluster of flower buds (Broccoli and Cauliflower). All these crops need a relatively long time to mature and prefer the cool weather of spring and fall. Timing is critical to get these plants to maturity before it gets too warm (as a spring crop) or too cold (as a winter crop).
