Hannah Gibbons, an employee at Sow True Seed since 2020, has nearly a decade of experience in the agricultural industry. Their passion for environmental education and regenerative agriculture has been the cornerstone of their work, aimed at making gardening accessible to all.

With a degree in Environmental Education from Warren Wilson College, Hannah began their farming journey in Western North Carolina in 2015. Specializing in cultivating vegetables and medicinal herbs for local markets, food banks, and community members, they quickly became dedicated to sharing agricultural knowledge with a wider audience.

Their commitment to agriculture led them to various teaching roles. They educated children at Hawthorne Valley Farm, worked with high school students in agricultural programs at Community High School, and provided agricultural education to incarcerated individuals through AB Tech’s gardening and horticulture program at Western Correctional Center.

Their involvement in AB Tech’s adult education horticulture program further solidified their dedication to empowering future agricultural enthusiasts through education.Their diverse experiences have shaped their dedication to making agricultural knowledge accessible and empowering individuals with the skills and understanding necessary for sustainable farming practices.
