Planting Guide and Seed Saving Notes for Greens, Mixed

Greens, Mixed

A selection of greens that make for a tasty addition to any meal.

How to Grow Mixed Greens from Seed

Bed Preparation

Mixed greens are moderately frost tolerant and prefer full sun to partial shade. Greens grow best in rich, evenly moist but well-drained soil.

Planting

Mixed greens can be direct seeded outdoors in early spring or started indoors and transplanted outside. Plant successions starting in early spring through late summer for continuous harvest.

Harvest

Mixed greens can be harvested in approximately 10 days for baby greens up to 50 days for larger greens. Harvest above growth point for cut-and-come-again production.
