IN PERSON CLASS: Seed Saving Basics

Seed saving is a practical and simple way to connect to your garden and grow all of your favorite crops year after year. When you seed save, you create plants that are adapted to your specific micro-climate. Become an expert seed saver and you'll never have to buy your favorites again! 

Come learn the different methods of seed saving for flowers, vegetables, and herbs and get some experience with the tools that make it easy. This class includes hands-on experience in both dry and wet processing and you'll get to take home some locally grown seeds as well! 

Frankie Larson is a Western North Carolina plant nerd and a big fan of regenerative growing practices. They have been rehabilitating a small plot of land in Candler, NC and growing native flowers to spread around the Asheville area. They write articles about seed saving and regenerative growing practices, and have been working to convince people to turn their non-native lawns into native bio-diverse havens for almost a decade. They have a personal seed library of over 100 varieties, many of which they have been gathering and saving for years.
