Nasturtium is a frost sensitive annual that prefers full sun-partial shade and well-drained soil high in organic matter.

Cultivation

Direct sow outdoors once the danger of frost has passed. Optimal soil temperature for germination is 70-75°F. Sow seeds 1/2” deep and 4-6” apart. Seeds will germinate in 7-14 days. Space mature plants 8-12" apart.

Harvest

Young leaves can be harvested for salads. The edible flowers can be harvested anytime from early summer to a killing frost in the fall.
