Why were you excited about this project?

I get excited about illustrating plants in general. I love that plants follow a set pattern of growth, but that pattern gets twisted in interesting ways when they interact with their environment. You can actually see their history in front of you by seeing how they grew in response to certain stimulus. Imagine if humans were that way.

What is your favorite vegetable to grow and why?

Loose-leaf Lettuce. There is nothing like walking out to the garden with a bowl and coming back inside with a fresh salad of mixed lettuce. The taste and texture just can’t compete with store-bought lettuce. I get so spoiled during lettuce season.

Do you have anything else you want to share with potential customers?

I am Anna Janosik, an Illustrator and Graphic Designer in Temple Terrace, Florida. I love organic forms and woodland critters.

I dabble in sequential art/storytelling and have started a web comic, Ming Strip, with my good friend Shaun (a darn good writer) in my spare time. To relax and stay in shape I train in self defense. My husband Steve (a darn good photographer) and I also enjoy exploring natural Florida and far off countries.
