Lettuce and Herb Salad Mixes

Kate Harberer of Baltimore, Maryland was selected to design the artwork for our Lettuce Mix seed packets.

What is your favorite flower and why?

Daffodils! In spring, they’re my first reminder that things are going to get juicy and fragrant again. I love seeing them springing up year after year all over the city.

What is your favorite vegetable to eat and why?

BEETS! They’re sweet and delicious. Super versatile, too! I love to roast them and have them on toast with goat cheese and arugula.

Why were you excited about this project?

Plants are something that I come back to over and over in my art. I love drawing foliage, so the chance to do art for seed packets absolutely fantastic!
