A charming mix of tiny, fairy-like flowers in white, pink, and purple. Growing to be two to eight inches tall, this smaller beauty can be planted in the foreground of your garden to frame your borders, and also makes a lovely addition to container plantings. A great pollinator plant, and deer resistant.
Direct seed or transplant into the garden after all danger of frost has passed. Sweet alyssum will need full sun and well-draining soil. Water well to ensure good germination. Once germinated, sweet alyssum will need at least an inch of water per week. Typically grown for flowers. Annual.

Alyssum is an annual that prefers full sun to partial shade and rich, well-drained soil with moderate moisture.
Direct seed outdoors in early spring. You can start them 4-6 weeks early inside for planting out after last frost. Optimum soil temperature for germination is 65-80˚F. Sow 1/8" deep and 2-4" apart. Seeds will sprout in 10-21 days. Thin so mature plants are 4-8" apart.
