Why were you excited about this project?
I was excited to work on this project because it gave me an excellent excuse to paint more food. I had done a series of painted flowers on wood and then moved to a series of cuts of meats. Now I’m excited by the potential of painting more food and herbs from my garden.
What is your favorite vegetable to grow and why?
It’s hard to choose a favorite anything so I’ll just say I love all things that climb – cucumber vines, sugar snap peas, morning glories, jasmine and honeysuckle just to list a few.
