When to Seed Morning Glory

This annual, flowering vine, should be transplanted or direct seeded into the garden once all danger of frost has passed.

Where to Plant Morning Glory

This flower will need full sun and will prefer loose, well-draining soil, however, it will tolerate a wide range of conditions. It will require a trellis or something to climb on, but it does do well in containers. This vine is extremely prolific and will reseed and spread so keep this in mind when you’re choosing a location.

Growing Morning Glory

Sow seeds ½ inch deep and four to six inches apart. Once mature, thin to six to 12 inches apart. Once established, this is a very low-maintenance and prolific crop.

Harvesting Morning Glory

This flower is not typically harvested and is better enjoyed as a landscaping plant.
