Ginger Rhizomes - Yellow, 6 oz. - Sow True Seed

Ginger Rhizomes - Yellow, 6 oz.

$15.95

Zingiber officinale

Nothing beats fresh ginger from the garden. Its rosey translucent skin is irresistible and has a mild flavor and is easier to process than mature ginger. Originating from Asia this plant thrives in the summer heat and can be easily grown in zones 8-11. Ginger is great to add to dishes, teas, and also has many health benefits.

Ginger should be sprouted indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost and can be transplanted outside after all danger of frost is gone. Ginger plants should be harvested before the first frost to prevent rhizome damage.

Three to four rhizomes per 6 ounces.

Our ginger growing guide can be found here.
