Phaseolus vulgaris
HEIRLOOM. This variety came to us from outstanding then-teenage gardener Kyle Johnson, of Greeneville, TN. It is stringless and has excellent flavor as a snap bean or a dry bean. In folklore, this variety was first cultivated when a hunter shot a turkey and removed a bean from the craw. The bean was planted and saved, hence the name 'Turkey Craw'.
A minimum of 30 seeds per packet.
The Turkey Craw bean is part of the Slow Food Ark of Taste!
