When to Seed Parsley

This biennial herb should be direct seeded or transplanted into the garden in early spring or late summer. It is a cool season herb, so keep that in mind when planning your garden!

Where to Plant Parsley

This plant will appreciate a spot with full sun. Loose, well-draining soil is ideal but this plant will tolerate a wide range of growing conditions.

Growing Parsley

Sow seeds ¼ inch deep and two to four inches apart. Once mature, thin to 12 to 18 inches apart. When established, this herb is low maintenance.

Harvesting Parsley

Parsley leaves can be harvested using sharp shears and are best used fresh. Leave the growing tip intact so it regrows for multiple harvests.
