Beautiful snow-white 6" blooms open at sunset, releasing a lovely fragrance. Score seed and soak for 24 hours before sowing. Plant indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost. Transplant after frost to full sun and evenly moist soil. Vigorous climber, needs trellis. Summer to fall blooming. Annual.

When to Seed Moonflower

This annual, flowering vine, should be transplanted or direct seeded into the garden once all danger of frost has passed.

This flower will need full sun and will prefer loose, well-draining soil. It will require a trellis or something to climb on. 

Growing Moonflower

Sow seeds one inch deep and three inches apart. This seed will require scarification ahead of planting. Once mature, thin to six to 20 inches apart. Once established, this plant is quite drought tolerant.
